DJ Hero : Marre du Rock ? Place aux platines !
Après l’immense succès de la série Guitar Hero, il était temps pour Activision de renouveler un peu son concept, en proposant quelque chose de novateur qui plairait à un public plus large. Outre Band Hero (Sortie prévue pour 2009 également), DJ Hero rejoint donc la gamme « hero » avec des objectifs de ventes une nouvelle fois élevés.
Place, donc, à un tout nouveau périphérique, la platine ! C’est à l’aide de cet objet qu’il va falloir « mixer » diverses musiques inspirées d’univers extrêmement variés. L’objectif sera donc de « mélanger » deux morceaux, de la façon la plus harmonieuse possible. Voici le résumé de nos impressions, à l’issue d’une séance d’essai durant le Gamescom de Cologne 2009…
Avant toutes choses, il faut savoir que DJ Hero ne se veut pas être une pure simulation, mais un jeu « fun » qui permettra a chacun de prendre du plaisir en écoutant « du bon son ». C’est avec cette idée en tête que Activision a créer son périphérique.
Finalement très proche de la classique Guitare, la « table de mix » se présente avec les fameux boutons de couleurs, disposés sur la platine.
Platine qui vous permettra d’effectuer divers effets durant les parties, en « scratchant ». D’autres touches ont également été ajoutées à côté de ladite platine, dont une qui vous servira à passer d’une musique à une autre, durant votre session.
Les habitués de Guitar Hero trouveront vite leurs marques tant le « Gameplay » est proche de ce dernier.
Une bonne vingtaine de minutes seront tout de même nécessaires, afin de se familiariser avec toutes les touches.
Une fois cette « phase » accomplie, on prend vraiment « son pied ».
Que ce soit en terme de plaisir de jeux ou de musicalité, Band Hero nous montre à quel point Activision maîtrise son sujet !
Visuellement, c’est du Guitar Hero, avec les classiques « plages » défilant à l’écran. C’est plutôt côté son que vient la vraie nouveauté. Les styles présents permettront à chacun de trouver « musique à son oreille » : Beastie Boys, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Eminem, Daft Punk, Marvin Gaye, Foo Fighters ou encore David Bowie, le meilleur de chaque « style musical » est représenté !
Un mélange des genres surprenant mais vraiment convainquant. Il fallait y penser…
L’autre « grosse » révolution vient d’un mode de jeu spécial qui permettra à un joueur « mixeur», d’affronter un joueur « guitariste » (Compatibilité avec la guitare de Guitar Hero).
Une opposition des genres (et des générations?) qui devrait faire fureur à l’occasion des fêtes de fin d’année !
Bien sûr, mode de jeu en ligne et service de téléchargement (identique pour toutes les plateformes, nous dit-on) seront toujours de la partie.
Au final, servi par un Gameplay efficace et « fun », une tracklist « de rêve » et des modes de jeux innovants, ce DJ Hero devrait connaître un succès au moins aussi important que celui de son « grand frère », Guitar Hero. Reste à patienter jusqu’à la sortie du « soft »…
